The weekend

We are having a fun, laid back weekend.

Saturday morning was raining, so we mostly played around the apartment. We did venture out to our local Starbucks and hang out there for a little bit. After lunch and naps, it had stopped raining and we went to the park. We went to Hong Kong Park and played on the playground for a while. Then we tried a new restaurant called Shake 'em Buns, a small local hamburger joint. They were good big burgers. That night we had a quiet evening of reading and catching up on some email.

Sunday morning we went to church at Island Evangelical Community Church. Click on that link if you want to see more. We met up with a friend, Chase Anderson, who went to Auburn with us and currently lives in HK. It was a great church. Very international, yet all in English. It was contemporary worship, and we heard a great sermon about the church of Thyatira in Revelations. Overall, worshipping there is more of glimpse of heaven, because of the many nationalities.
