Mickey Land!

Lindsey had Monday off for the Dragon Boat Festival Holiday, so we decided to attempt a trip to Disneyland Hong Kong. The park opened in 2005 and is small compared to Orlando, so we had low expectations. However, it was a perfect size for Quinn. It was easy to get around and not too overwhelming. We had amazing weather, and it was fun being at Disney (I hadn't been since the 4th or 5th grade). We took the subway there in about 45 minutes and stayed from 10am until 6 that evening. It was a full day, but we all had a lot of fun. Quinn's highlight was definitely seeing the characters. He knew all of them from watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but Goofy and Pluto were his favorites. He wanted to see them and "hang out with them", but not get close enough to touch them. He also loved the rides- Small world, Winnie the Pooh, the Carousel, and Dumbo. We saw a couple shows, one about Mickey and the other was High School Musical (that was my highlight). For lunch we could choose between burgers and fries or noodles and other Asian dishes. We went for the fries and ice cream. :) Sometime that afternoon, Quinn slept for about an hour in his stroller, and then he was ready to go for some more. Overall, it was just so fun to see everything new through your child's eyes.

That night we all crashed, after Tacos for dinner and the movie Air Force One on TV. See, we do get a lot of "normal" around here as well.
