Day 5 (Florence)

 

We started our full day in Florence by going to the Uffizi Gallery, a wonderful collection of Renaissance paintings.

After that we took a pizza lunch up to this lookout, Piazzalle Michelangelo. It's a great lookout over the city.

After some shopping and seeing the Pitti Palace, we had a little rest in our hotel before dinner at Auqa Al 2. We ended up sitting beside an older Italian couple from Genoa and had the most wonderful time talking with them. The restaurant had a cheese plate, 5 pasta sampler, and 3 steak sampler that we both shared. So good, and fun to try so many things!
